Verse 1 — అపమృత్యు పరిహరిసో̀ అనిలదేవ

అపమృత్యు పరిహరిసో̀ అనిలదేవ

apamṛtyu pariharisò aniladeva

Ward off untimely death, O Lord of Wind!

Verse 2 — కృపణ వత్సలనే̀ కాయ్వర కాణే̀ జగదో̀ళగే̀

కృపణ వత్సలనే̀ కాయ్వర కాణే̀ జగదో̀ళగే̀

kṛpaṇa vatsalanè kāyvara kāṇè jagadòl̤agè

O compassionate refuge of the humble — I see none in this world who can protect me.

Verse 3 — నినగిన్ను సమరాద అనిమిత్త బాంధవరు

నినగిన్ను సమరాద అనిమిత్త బాంధవరు

ninaginnu samarāda animitta bāṃdhavaru

Now, O Lord, do I have kinsmen equal to You, come unbidden —

Verse 4 — ఏ̀నగిల్ల ఆవావ జనుమదల్లి

ènagilla āvāva janumadalli

I have none in any birth,

Verse 5 — అనుదినవు ఏ̀మ్మనుదాసీన మాడువుదు

anudinavu èmmanudāsīna māḍuvudu

yet You take me into Your service day after day;

Verse 6 — అనుచితవు జగది సజ్జన శిఖామణియే̀

anucitavu jagadi sajjana śikhāmaṇiyè

is this not beyond deserving, O crest-jewel of the righteous!

Verse 7 — కరణాభిమానిగళు కింకరరు మూర్లోకదో̀రే̀యు

karaṇābhimānigal̤u kiṃkararu mūrlokadòrèyu

The presiding deities of the senses are Your servants; the Lord of the three worlds

Verse 8 — నిన్నో̀ళగిప్ప సర్వకాల

నిన్నో̀ళగిప్ప సర్వకాల

ninnòl̤agippa sarvakāla

dwells within You at all times;

Verse 9 — పరిసరనే̀ ఈ భాగ్య దో̀రే̀తనకే̀ సరియుంటే̀

parisaranè ī bhāgya dòrètanakè sariyuṃṭè

O Lord of all, is there any equal to this fortune I have gained?

Verse 10 — గురువరనే̀ నీ దయాకరనే̀ందు ప్రార్థిసువే̀

guruvaranè nī dayākaranèṃdu prārthisuvè

O best of gurus, I pray that You, the compassionate one,

Verse 11 — భవరోగ మోచకనే̀ పవమానరాయ

భవరోగ మోచకనే̀ పవమానరాయ

bhavaroga mocakanè pavamānarāya

releaser from the disease of worldly existence, O king of the purifying winds,

Verse 12 — నిన్నవరవను నాను మాధవ ప్రియనే̀

నిన్నవరవను నాను మాధవ ప్రియనే̀

ninnavaravanu nānu mādhava priyanè

I am wholly Yours, O beloved of Mādhavā;

Verse 13 — జవన బాధే̀య బిడిసు అవనియో̀ళు సుజనరిగే̀

javana bādhèya biḍisu avaniyòl̤u sujanarigè

release the good people of this earth from the torments of Death;

divijagaṇa madhyadali pravara nīnahudayya

among the hosts of gods You are the foremost.

Verse 15 — జ్ఞానాయు రూపకను నీనహుదో̀ వాణి పంచాననాద్యమరరిగే̀

jñānāyu rūpakanu nīnahudò vāṇi paṃcānanādyamararigè

You are the embodiment of wisdom and life — to Sarasvati, Pañcānana and the other gods,

knowing You as the lover of the lowly, I have entered Your refuge;

ever burn away the forest of my evil demons, O fire!

This body, a means to salvation, was given by Your grace;
