ಹಿರಣ್ಯವರ್ಣಾಂ ಹರಿಣೀಂ ಸುವರ್ಣರಜತಸ್ರಜಾಂ ।
ಚಂದ್ರಾಂ ಹಿರಣ್ಮಯೀಂ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಂ ಜಾತವೇದೋ ಮ ಆವಹ ॥
hiraṇyavarṇāṃ hariṇīṃ suvarṇarajatasrajām |
candrāṃ hiraṇmayīṃ lakṣmīṃ jātavedo ma āvaha ||
O Jātavedas (Agni), summon for me Lakṣmī — gold-hued, deer-like, garlanded in silver and gold, moon-bright and golden.

ತಾಂ ಮ ಆವಹ ಜಾತವೇದೋ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಮನಪಗಾಮಿನೀಂ ।
ಯಸ್ಯಾಂ ಹಿರಣ್ಯಂ ವಿಂದೇಯಂ ಗಾಮಶ್ವಂ ಪುರುಷಾನಹಂ ॥
tāṃ ma āvaha jātavedo lakṣmīmanapagāminīm |
yasyāṃ hiraṇyaṃ vindeyaṃ gāmaśvaṃ puruṣānaham ||
Summon for me, O Jātavedas, that Lakṣmī who never departs, through whom I may win gold, cattle, horses and offspring.

Verse 4 — ಅಶ್ವಪೂರ್ವಾಂ ರಥಮಧ್ಯಾಂ ಹಸ್ತಿನಾದಪ್ರಬೋಧಿನೀಂ ।…

ಅಶ್ವಪೂರ್ವಾಂ ರಥಮಧ್ಯಾಂ ಹಸ್ತಿನಾದಪ್ರಬೋಧಿನೀಂ ।
ಶ್ರಿಯಂ ದೇವೀಮುಪಹ್ವಯೇ ಶ್ರೀರ್ಮಾ ದೇವೀರ್ಜುಷತಾಂ ॥
aśvapūrvāṃ rathamadhyāṃ hastinādaprabodhinīm |
śriyaṃ devīmupahvaye śrīrmā devīrjuṣatām ||
I invoke the goddess Śrī — heralded by horses, a chariot at her centre, awakened by the trumpeting of elephants; may the goddess Śrī take delight in me.

ಕಾಂ ಸೋಸ್ಮಿತಾಂ ಹಿರಣ್ಯಪ್ರಾಕಾರಾಮಾರ್ದ್ರಾಂ ಜ್ವಲಂತೀಂ ತೃಪ್ತಾಂ ತರ್ಪಯಂತೀಂ ।
ಪದ್ಮೇ ಸ್ಥಿತಾಂ ಪದ್ಮವರ್ಣಾಂ ತಾಮಿಹೋಪಹ್ವಯೇ ಶ್ರಿಯಂ ॥
kāṃ sosmitāṃ hiraṇyaprākārāmārdrāṃ jvalantīṃ tṛptāṃ tarpayantīm |
padme sthitāṃ padmavarṇāṃ tāmihopahvaye śriyam ||
Her I invoke here — Śrī, softly smiling, ringed with gold, tender, blazing, contented and contenting others, seated on a lotus and lotus-hued.

ಚಂದ್ರಾಂ ಪ್ರಭಾಸಾಂ ಯಶಸಾ ಜ್ವಲಂತೀಂ ಶ್ರಿಯಂ ಲೋಕೇ ದೇವಜುಷ್ಟಾಮುದಾರಾಂ ।
ತಾಂ ಪದ್ಮಿನೀಮೀಂ ಶರಣಮಹಂ ಪ್ರಪದ್ಯೇಽಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀರ್ಮೇ ನಶ್ಯತಾಂ ತ್ವಾಂ ವೃಣೇ ॥
candrāṃ prabhāsāṃ yaśasā jvalantīṃ śriyaṃ loke devajuṣṭāmudārām |
tāṃ padminīmīṃ śaraṇamahaṃ prapadye'lakṣmīrme naśyatāṃ tvāṃ vṛṇe ||
I take refuge in her — moon-like, luminous, blazing with glory, noble Śrī whom the gods honour in the world, the lotus-dweller; may my misfortune perish. You I choose.

Verse 7 — ಆದಿತ್ಯವರ್ಣೇ ತಪಸೋಽಧಿಜಾತೋ ವನಸ್ಪತಿಸ್ತವ ವೃಕ್ಷೋಽಥ…

ಆದಿತ್ಯವರ್ಣೇ ತಪಸೋಽಧಿಜಾತೋ ವನಸ್ಪತಿಸ್ತವ ವೃಕ್ಷೋಽಥ ಬಿಲ್ವಃ ।
ತಸ್ಯ ಫಲಾನಿ ತಪಸಾ ನುದಂತು ಮಾಯಾಂತರಾಯಾಶ್ಚ ಬಾಹ್ಯಾ ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಃ ॥
ādityavarṇe tapaso'dhijāto vanaspatistava vṛkṣo'tha bilvaḥ |
tasya phalāni tapasā nudantu māyāntarāyāśca bāhyā alakṣmīḥ ||
Born of your austerity, O sun-hued goddess, is the lord of the forest, the bilva tree; may its fruits, by that tapas, drive away my illusions, inner and outer, and all ill fortune.

Verse 8 — ಉಪೈತು ಮಾಂ ದೇವಸಖಃ ಕೀರ್ತಿಶ್ಚ ಮಣಿನಾ ಸಹ ।…

ಉಪೈತು ಮಾಂ ದೇವಸಖಃ ಕೀರ್ತಿಶ್ಚ ಮಣಿನಾ ಸಹ ।
ಪ್ರಾದುರ್ಭೂತೋಽಸ್ಮಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೇಽಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಕೀರ್ತಿಮೃದ್ಧಿಂ ದದಾತು ಮೇ ॥
upaitu māṃ devasakhaḥ kīrtiśca maṇinā saha |
prādurbhūto'smi rāṣṭre'smin kīrtimṛddhiṃ dadātu me ||
May the friend of the gods (Kubera) come to me, and Fame together with the jewel; manifest in this realm, may they grant me fame and prosperity.

Verse 9 — ಕ್ಷುತ್ಪಿಪಾಸಾಮಲಾಂ ಜ್ಯೇಷ್ಠಾಮಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಂ ನಾಶಯಾಮ್ಯಹಂ ।…

ಕ್ಷುತ್ಪಿಪಾಸಾಮಲಾಂ ಜ್ಯೇಷ್ಠಾಮಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಂ ನಾಶಯಾಮ್ಯಹಂ ।
ಅಭೂತಿಮಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಂ ಚ ಸರ್ವಾಂ ನಿರ್ಣುದ ಮೇ ಗೃಹಾತ್ ॥
kṣutpipāsāmalāṃ jyeṣṭhāmalakṣmīṃ nāśayāmyaham |
abhūtimasamṛddhiṃ ca sarvāṃ nirṇuda me gṛhāt ||
I banish the elder Alakṣmī — hunger, thirst and grime; drive from my home, O goddess, all want and ruin.

Verse 10 — ಗಂಧದ್ವಾರಾಂ ದುರಾಧರ್ಷಾಂ ನಿತ್ಯಪುಷ್ಟಾಂ ಕರೀಷಿಣೀಂ ।…

ಗಂಧದ್ವಾರಾಂ ದುರಾಧರ್ಷಾಂ ನಿತ್ಯಪುಷ್ಟಾಂ ಕರೀಷಿಣೀಂ ।
ಈಶ್ವರೀಂ ಸರ್ವಭೂತಾನಾಂ ತಾಮಿಹೋಪಹ್ವಯೇ ಶ್ರಿಯಂ ॥
gandhadvārāṃ durādharṣāṃ nityapuṣṭāṃ karīṣiṇīm |
īśvarīṃ sarvabhūtānāṃ tāmihopahvaye śriyam ||
I invoke here Śrī — fragrant, unassailable, ever full, rich in abundance, sovereign mistress of all beings.

Verse 11 — ಮನಸಃ ಕಾಮಮಾಕೂತಿಂ ವಾಚಃ ಸತ್ಯಮಶೀಮಹಿ । ಪಶೂನಾಂ…

ಮನಸಃ ಕಾಮಮಾಕೂತಿಂ ವಾಚಃ ಸತ್ಯಮಶೀಮಹಿ ।
ಪಶೂನಾಂ ರೂಪಮನ್ನಸ್ಯ ಮಯಿ ಶ್ರೀಃ ಶ್ರಯತಾಂ ಯಶಃ ॥
manasaḥ kāmamākūtiṃ vācaḥ satyamaśīmahi |
paśūnāṃ rūpamannasya mayi śrīḥ śrayatāṃ yaśaḥ ||
May we obtain the mind's desire and resolve and the truth of speech; may Śrī and glory rest on me, in cattle and in food.

ಕರ್ದಮೇನ ಪ್ರಜಾಭೂತಾ ಮಯಿ ಸಂಭವ ಕರ್ದಮ ।
ಶ್ರಿಯಂ ವಾಸಯ ಮೇ ಕುಲೇ ಮಾತರಂ ಪದ್ಮಮಾಲಿನೀಂ ॥
kardamena prajābhūtā mayi sambhava kardama |
śriyaṃ vāsaya me kule mātaraṃ padmamālinīm ||
Through Kardama was progeny born; O Kardama, arise in me — settle Śrī, the lotus-garlanded mother, in my line.

Verse 13 — ಆಪಃ ಸೃಜಂತು ಸ್ನಿಗ್ಧಾನಿ ಚಿಕ್ಲೀತ ವಸ ಮೇ ಗೃಹೇ । ನಿ ಚ…

ಆಪಃ ಸೃಜಂತು ಸ್ನಿಗ್ಧಾನಿ ಚಿಕ್ಲೀತ ವಸ ಮೇ ಗೃಹೇ ।
ನಿ ಚ ದೇವೀಂ ಮಾತರಂ ಶ್ರಿಯಂ ವಾಸಯ ಮೇ ಕುಲೇ ॥
āpaḥ sṛjantu snigdhāni ciklīta vasa me gṛhe |
ni ca devīṃ mātaraṃ śriyaṃ vāsaya me kule ||
May the waters bring forth things tender; O Ciklīta, dwell in my home — and settle here the divine mother Śrī in my line.

ಆರ್ದ್ರಾಂ ಪುಷ್ಕರಿಣೀಂ ಪುಷ್ಟಿಂ ಪಿಂಗಲಾಂ ಪದ್ಮಮಾಲಿನೀಂ ।
ಚಂದ್ರಾಂ ಹಿರಣ್ಮಯೀಂ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಂ ಜಾತವೇದೋ ಮ ಆವಹ ॥
ārdrāṃ puṣkariṇīṃ puṣṭiṃ piṅgalāṃ padmamālinīm |
candrāṃ hiraṇmayīṃ lakṣmīṃ jātavedo ma āvaha ||
O Jātavedas, summon for me Lakṣmī — tender, lotus-dwelling, nourishing, tawny, lotus-garlanded, moon-like and golden.

Verse 15 — ಆರ್ದ್ರಾಂ ಯಃ ಕರಿಣೀಂ ಯಷ್ಟಿಂ ಸುವರ್ಣಾಂ ಹೇಮಮಾಲಿನೀಂ ।…

ಆರ್ದ್ರಾಂ ಯಃ ಕರಿಣೀಂ ಯಷ್ಟಿಂ ಸುವರ್ಣಾಂ ಹೇಮಮಾಲಿನೀಂ ।
ಸೂರ್ಯಾಂ ಹಿರಣ್ಮಯೀಂ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಂ ಜಾತವೇದೋ ಮ ಆವಹ ॥
ārdrāṃ yaḥ kariṇīṃ yaṣṭiṃ suvarṇāṃ hemamālinīm |
sūryāṃ hiraṇmayīṃ lakṣmīṃ jātavedo ma āvaha ||
O Jātavedas, summon for me Lakṣmī — tender, staff in hand, elephant-attended, golden, gold-garlanded, sun-like and golden.

Verse 16 — ತಾಂ ಮ ಆವಹ ಜಾತವೇದೋ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಮನಪಗಾಮಿನೀಂ । ಯಸ್ಯಾಂ…

ತಾಂ ಮ ಆವಹ ಜಾತವೇದೋ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಮನಪಗಾಮಿನೀಂ ।
ಯಸ್ಯಾಂ ಹಿರಣ್ಯಂ ಪ್ರಭೂತಂ ಗಾವೋ ದಾಸ್ಯೋಽಶ್ವಾನ್ ವಿಂದೇಯಂ ಪುರುಷಾನಹಂ ॥
tāṃ ma āvaha jātavedo lakṣmīmanapagāminīm |
yasyāṃ hiraṇyaṃ prabhūtaṃ gāvo dāsyo'śvān vindeyaṃ puruṣānaham ||
Summon for me, O Jātavedas, that unfailing Lakṣmī through whom I may win abundant gold, cattle, servants, horses and offspring.

Verse 17 — ಯಃ ಶುಚಿಃ ಪ್ರಯತೋ ಭೂತ್ವಾ ಜುಹುಯಾದಾಜ್ಯಮನ್ವಹಂ ।…

ಯಃ ಶುಚಿಃ ಪ್ರಯತೋ ಭೂತ್ವಾ ಜುಹುಯಾದಾಜ್ಯಮನ್ವಹಂ ।
ಶ್ರಿಯಃ ಪಂಚದಶರ್ಚಂ ಚ ಶ್ರೀಕಾಮಃ ಸತತಂ ಜಪೇತ್ ॥
yaḥ śuciḥ prayato bhūtvā juhuyādājyamanvaham |
śriyaḥ pañcadaśarcaṃ ca śrīkāmaḥ satataṃ japet ||
One who, pure and self-controlled, offers ghee daily and, longing for Śrī, ceaselessly recites her fifteen ṛks — wins her grace.

tvaṃ māṃ bhajasva padmākṣi yena saukhyaṃ labhāmyaham ||
O lotus-faced, lotus-thighed, lotus-eyed, lotus-born — receive me, O lotus-eyed one, that I may find happiness.

aśvadāyī godāyī dhanadāyī mahādhane |
dhanaṃ me juṣatāṃ devi sarvakāmāṃśca dehi me ||
O giver of horses, of cattle, of wealth, O treasure-rich goddess — take joy in the wealth I offer, and grant me all my desires.

Verse 20 — ಪುತ್ರಪೌತ್ರಂ ಧನಂ ಧಾನ್ಯಂ ಹಸ್ತ್ಯಶ್ವಾದಿಗವೇ ರಥಂ ।…

ಪುತ್ರಪೌತ್ರಂ ಧನಂ ಧಾನ್ಯಂ ಹಸ್ತ್ಯಶ್ವಾದಿಗವೇ ರಥಂ ।
ಪ್ರಜಾನಾಂ ಭವಸಿ ಮಾತಾ ಆಯುಷ್ಮಂತಂ ಕರೋತು ಮಾಂ ॥
putrapautraṃ dhanaṃ dhānyaṃ hastyaśvādigave ratham |
prajānāṃ bhavasi mātā āyuṣmantaṃ karotu mām ||
You are the mother of all creatures; grant me sons and grandsons, wealth and grain, elephants, horses, cattle and chariots, and make me long-lived.

Verse 21 — ಧನಮಗ್ನಿರ್ಧನಂ ವಾಯುರ್ಧನಂ ಸೂರ್ಯೋ ಧನಂ ವಸುಃ ।…

ಧನಮಗ್ನಿರ್ಧನಂ ವಾಯುರ್ಧನಂ ಸೂರ್ಯೋ ಧನಂ ವಸುಃ ।
ಧನಮಿಂದ್ರೋ ಬೃಹಸ್ಪತಿರ್ವರುಣಂ ಧನಮಶ್ನುತೇ ॥
dhanamagnirdhanaṃ vāyurdhanaṃ sūryo dhanaṃ vasuḥ |
dhanamindro bṛhaspatirvaruṇaṃ dhanamaśnute ||
Wealth is Agni, wealth is Vāyu, wealth the Sun, wealth the Vasus; Indra and Bṛhaspati are wealth — may Varuṇa too grant wealth.

Verse 22 — ವೈನತೇಯ ಸೋಮಂ ಪಿಬ ಸೋಮಂ ಪಿಬತು ವೃತ್ರಹಾ । ಸೋಮಂ ಧನಸ್ಯ…

ವೈನತೇಯ ಸೋಮಂ ಪಿಬ ಸೋಮಂ ಪಿಬತು ವೃತ್ರಹಾ ।
ಸೋಮಂ ಧನಸ್ಯ ಸೋಮಿನೋ ಮಹ್ಯಂ ದದಾತು ಸೋಮಿನಃ ॥
vainateya somaṃ piba somaṃ pibatu vṛtrahā |
somaṃ dhanasya somino mahyaṃ dadātu sominaḥ ||
O Vainateya (Garuḍa), drink the soma; let the slayer of Vṛtra drink the soma — may the soma-rich grant me the soma of wealth.

Verse 23 — ನ ಕ್ರೋಧೋ ನ ಚ ಮಾತ್ಸರ್ಯಂ ನ ಲೋಭೋ ನಾಶುಭಾ ಮತಿಃ ।…

ನ ಕ್ರೋಧೋ ನ ಚ ಮಾತ್ಸರ್ಯಂ ನ ಲೋಭೋ ನಾಶುಭಾ ಮತಿಃ ।
ಭವಂತಿ ಕೃತಪುಣ್ಯಾನಾಂ ಭಕ್ತಾನಾಂ ಶ್ರೀಸೂಕ್ತಂ ಜಪೇತ್ಸದಾ ॥
na krodho na ca mātsaryaṃ na lobho nāśubhā matiḥ |
bhavanti kṛtapuṇyānāṃ bhaktānāṃ śrīsūktaṃ japetsadā ||
In those who have earned merit there is no anger, no envy, no greed, no evil thought — the devout should ever recite the Śrī Sūktam.

Verse 24 — ವರ್ಷಂತು ತೇ ವಿಭಾವರಿ ದಿವೋ ಅಭ್ರಸ್ಯ ವಿದ್ಯುತಃ ।…

ವರ್ಷಂತು ತೇ ವಿಭಾವರಿ ದಿವೋ ಅಭ್ರಸ್ಯ ವಿದ್ಯುತಃ ।
ರೋಹಂತು ಸರ್ವಬೀಜಾನ್ಯವ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ ದ್ವಿಷೋ ಜಹಿ ॥
varṣantu te vibhāvari divo abhrasya vidyutaḥ |
rohantu sarvabījānyava brahma dviṣo jahi ||
May the lightnings of the sky's cloud rain down for you, O radiant one; may all seeds sprout — strike down the enemies of the sacred word.

Verse 25 — ಪದ್ಮಪ್ರಿಯೇ ಪದ್ಮಿನಿ ಪದ್ಮಹಸ್ತೇ ಪದ್ಮಾಲಯೇ…

padmapriye padmini padmahaste padmālaye padmadalāyatākṣi |

O beloved of the lotus, lotus-dweller, lotus-handed, lotus-abode, petal-eyed; beloved of all, pleasing to Viṣṇu's heart — set your lotus feet upon me.

ಯಾ ಸಾ ಪದ್ಮಾಸನಸ್ಥಾ ವಿಪುಲಕಟಿತಟೀ ಪದ್ಮಪತ್ರಾಯತಾಕ್ಷೀ ಗಂಭೀರಾವರ್ತನಾಭಿಃ ಸ್ತನಭರನಮಿತಾ ಶುಭ್ರವಸ್ತ್ರೋತ್ತರೀಯಾ ।
