ಯೋ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ ಉಜ್ಜಹಾರ ಪ್ರಾಣೈಃ ಶಿರಃ ಕೃತ್ತಿವಾಸಾಃ ಪಿನಾಕೀ ।
ಈಶಾನೋ ದೇವಃ ಸ ನ ಆಯುರ್ದಧಾತು ತಸ್ಮೈ ಜುಹೋಮಿ ಹವಿಷಾ ಘೃತೇನ ॥

yo brahmā brahmaṇa ujjahāra prāṇaiḥ śiraḥ kṛttivāsāḥ pinākī |
īśāno devaḥ sa na āyurdadhātu tasmai juhomi haviṣā ghṛtena ||

He who drew the sacred lore forth — the skin-clad archer Pinaki — may that Lord, Ishana the god, grant us long life; to him I offer with ghee.

ವಿಭ್ರಾಜಮಾನಃ ಸರಿರಸ್ಯ ಮಧ್ಯಾದ್ರೋಚಮಾನೋ ಘರ್ಮರುಚಿರ್ಯ ಆಗಾತ್ ।
ಸ ಮೃತ್ಯುಪಾಶಾನಪನುದ್ಯ ಘೋರಾನಿಹಾಯುಷೇ ನೋ ಘೃತಮತ್ತು ದೇವಃ ॥

vibhrājamānaḥ sarirasya madhyādrocamāno gharmarucirya āgāt |
sa mṛtyupāśānapanudya ghorānihāyuṣe no ghṛtamattu devaḥ ||

Shining forth from the ocean's midst, glowing with sacrificial fire, he has come; driving away the terrible nooses of death, may the god accept this ghee for our long life.

brahmajyotirbrahmapatnīṣu garbhaṃ yamādadhāt pururūpaṃ jayantam |
suvarṇarambhagrahamarkamarcaṃ tamāyuṣe vardhayāmo ghṛtena ||

The light of Brahman placed a wondrous, ever-conquering seed of many forms in Brahma's consorts; that golden, sun-like orb we magnify with ghee for long life.

ಶ್ರಿಯಂ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಮೌಪಲಾಮಂಬಿಕಾಂ ಗಾಂ ಷಷ್ಠೀಂ ಚ ಜಾಮಿಮಿಂದ್ರಸೇನೇತ್ಯುದಾಹುಃ ।
ತಾಂ ವಿದ್ಯಾಂ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಯೋನಿಂ ಸರೂಪಾಮಿಹಾಯುಷೇ ತರ್ಪಯಾಮೋ ಘೃತೇನ ॥

śriyaṃ lakṣmīmaupalāmambikāṃ gāṃ ṣaṣṭhīṃ ca jāmimindrasenetyudāhuḥ |
tāṃ vidyāṃ brahmayoniṃ sarūpāmihāyuṣe tarpayāmo ghṛtena ||

Shri, Lakshmi, Aupala, Ambika, the cow — and Jami as the sixth, whom they call Indrasena; that lore, born of Brahman, we gratify with ghee for long life.

ದಾಕ್ಷಾಯಣ್ಯಃ ಸರ್ವಯೋನ್ಯಃ ಸಯೋನ್ಯಃ ಸಹಸ್ರಶೋ ವಿಶ್ವರೂಪಾ ವಿರೂಪಾಃ ।
ಸಸೂನವಃ ಸಪತಯಃ ಸಯೂಥ್ಯಾ ಆಯುಷೇಣೋ ಘೃತಮಿದಂ ಜುಷಂತಾಂ ॥

dākṣāyaṇyaḥ sarvayonyaḥ sayonyaḥ sahasraśo viśvarūpā virūpāḥ |
sasūnavaḥ sapatayaḥ sayūthyā āyuṣeṇo ghṛtamidaṃ juṣantām ||

The Dakshayana goddesses of every womb — thousandfold, all-formed and wondrous-formed, with sons, husbands, and hosts — may they enjoy this ghee through our longevity.

Verse 6 — ದಿವ್ಯಾ ಗಣಾ ಬಹುರೂಪಾ ಪುರಾಣಾ ಆಯುಶ್ಛಿದೋ ನಃ…

ದಿವ್ಯಾ ಗಣಾ ಬಹುರೂಪಾ ಪುರಾಣಾ ಆಯುಶ್ಛಿದೋ ನಃ ಪ್ರಮಥ್ನಂತು ವೀರಾನ್ ।
ತೇಭ್ಯೋ ಜುಹೋಮಿ ಬಹುಧಾ ಘೃತೇನ ಮಾ ನಃ ಪ್ರಜಾಁ ರೀರಿಷೋ ಮೋತ ವೀರಾನ್ ॥

divyā gaṇā bahurūpā purāṇā āyuśchido naḥ pramathnantu vīrān |
tebhyo juhomi bahudhā ghṛtena mā naḥ prajā~ rīriṣo mota vīrān ||

The ancient many-formed divine hosts cut lives short and harry our heroes; to them I offer ghee in many ways — harm neither our children nor our heroes.

ಏಕಃ ಪುರಸ್ತಾದ್ಯ ಇದಂ ಬಭೂವ ಯತೋ ಬಭೂವ ಭುವನಸ್ಯ ಗೋಪಾಃ ।
ಯಮಪ್ಯೇತಿ ಭುವನಂ ಸಾಂಪರಾಯೇ ಸ ನೋ ಹವಿರ್ಘೃತಮಿಹಾಯುಷೇಽತ್ತು ದೇವಃ ॥

ekaḥ purastādya idaṃ babhūva yato babhūva bhuvanasya gopāḥ |
yamapyeti bhuvanaṃ sāṃparāye sa no havirghṛtamihāyuṣe'ttu devaḥ ||

The One who stood forth in the beginning, from whom came the guardian of the world — the world he attains after departure — may that god accept our ghee-oblation here for long life.

vasūn rudrānādityān maruto'tha sādhyān ṛbhūn yakṣān gandharvā~śca pitṝ~śca viśvān |
bhṛgūn sarpā~ścāṅgiraso'tha sarvān ghṛtaṃ hutvā svāyuṣyā mahayāma śaśvat ||

The Vasus, Rudras, Adityas, Maruts and Sadhyas, Ribhus, Yakshas, Gandharvas and all the Fathers, the Bhrigus, serpents and Angirases — having offered ghee, we honor them forever for our long life.
