Verse 1 — தல்லணஸிதிரு கம்ட்ய தாளு மநவே̀

தல்லணஸிதிரு கம்ட்ய தாளு மநவே̀

tallaṇasidiru kaṃḍya tāl̤u manavè

Do not be agitated; be patient, O my mind.

Verse 2 — ஏ̀ல்லரநு ஸலஹுவநு இதகே̀ ஸம்ஶயவில்ல

ஏ̀ல்லரநு ஸலஹுவநு இதகே̀ ஸம்ஶயவில்ல

èllaranu salahuvanu idakè saṃśayavilla

He sustains everyone — of this there is no doubt.

Verse 3 — பே̀ட்டத துதியல்லி ஹுட்டிருவ வ்ரு'க்ஷக்கே̀

For the tree that springs up on the mountaintop,

kaṭṭèyannu kaṭṭi nīrèrèdavaru yārò

aḍigaḍigaḍigè āhāravittavaru yārò
