ಮನೋಬುದ್ಧ್ಯಹಂಕಾರಚಿತ್ತಾನಿ ನಾಹಂ
manobuddhyahaṃkāracittāni nāhaṃ
I am not the mind, the intellect, the ego, or the memory;
Verse 3 — ನ ಚ ಶ್ರೋತ್ರಜಿಹ್ವೇ ನ ಚ ಘ್ರಾಣನೇತ್ರೇ ।
ನ ಚ ಶ್ರೋತ್ರಜಿಹ್ವೇ ನ ಚ ಘ್ರಾಣನೇತ್ರೇ ।
na ca śrotrajihve na ca ghrāṇanetre |
nor the ears and tongue, nor the nose and eyes;
Verse 4 — ನ ಚ ವ್ಯೋಮಭೂಮಿರ್ನ ತೇಜೋ ನ ವಾಯುಃ
ನ ಚ ವ್ಯೋಮಭೂಮಿರ್ನ ತೇಜೋ ನ ವಾಯುಃ
na ca vyomabhūmirna tejo na vāyuḥ
nor space, earth, fire, or air —

ಚಿದಾನಂದರೂಪಃ ಶಿವೋಽಹಂ ಶಿವೋಽಹಂ
cidānandarūpaḥ śivo'haṃ śivo'ham
I am the very form of consciousness and bliss; I am Śiva, I am Śiva.
Verse 6 — ನ ಚ ಪ್ರಾಣಸಂಜ್ಞೋ ನ ವೈ ಪಂಚವಾಯುಃ
ನ ಚ ಪ್ರಾಣಸಂಜ್ಞೋ ನ ವೈ ಪಂಚವಾಯುಃ
na ca prāṇasaṃjño na vai pañcavāyuḥ
I am not the vital breath, nor the five vital airs;
Verse 7 — ನ ವಾ ಸಪ್ತಧಾತುರ್ನ ವಾ ಪಂಚಕೋಶಃ ।
ನ ವಾ ಸಪ್ತಧಾತುರ್ನ ವಾ ಪಂಚಕೋಶಃ ।
na vā saptadhāturna vā pañcakośaḥ |
nor the seven bodily constituents, nor the five sheaths;
Verse 8 — ನ ವಾಕ್ಪಾಣಿಪಾದಂ ನ ಚೋಪಸ್ಥಪಾಯೂ
ನ ವಾಕ್ಪಾಣಿಪಾದಂ ನ ಚೋಪಸ್ಥಪಾಯೂ
na vākpāṇipādaṃ na copasthapāyū
nor speech, hands, feet, or the organs of generation and excretion —

na me dveṣarāgau na me lobhamohau
I have neither aversion nor attachment, neither greed nor delusion;
Verse 11 — ಮದೋ ನೈವ ಮೇ ನೈವ ಮಾತ್ಸರ್ಯಭಾವಃ ।
ಮದೋ ನೈವ ಮೇ ನೈವ ಮಾತ್ಸರ್ಯಭಾವಃ ।
mado naiva me naiva mātsaryabhāvaḥ |
no pride, and not the least sense of envy;
Verse 12 — ನ ಧರ್ಮೋ ನ ಚಾರ್ಥೋ ನ ಕಾಮೋ ನ ಮೋಕ್ಷಃ
ನ ಧರ್ಮೋ ನ ಚಾರ್ಥೋ ನ ಕಾಮೋ ನ ಮೋಕ್ಷಃ
na dharmo na cārtho na kāmo na mokṣaḥ
I am beyond dharma, wealth, desire, and even liberation —
Verse 13 — ಚಿದಾನಂದರೂಪಃ ಶಿವೋಽಹಂ ಶಿವೋಽಹಂ
ಚಿದಾನಂದರೂಪಃ ಶಿವೋಽಹಂ ಶಿವೋಽಹಂ

Verse 14 — ನ ಪುಣ್ಯಂ ನ ಪಾಪಂ ನ ಸೌಖ್ಯಂ ನ ದುಃಖಂ
ನ ಪುಣ್ಯಂ ನ ಪಾಪಂ ನ ಸೌಖ್ಯಂ ನ ದುಃಖಂ
na puṇyaṃ na pāpaṃ na saukhyaṃ na duḥkhaṃ
Neither merit nor sin, neither pleasure nor pain;
Verse 15 — ನ ಮಂತ್ರೋ ನ ತೀರ್ಥೋ ನ ವೇದಾ ನ ಯಜ್ಞಃ ।
ನ ಮಂತ್ರೋ ನ ತೀರ್ಥೋ ನ ವೇದಾ ನ ಯಜ್ಞಃ ।
na mantro na tīrtho na vedā na yajñaḥ |
neither sacred formula, holy place, Veda, nor sacrifice;
Verse 16 — ಅಹಂ ಭೋಜನಂ ನೈವ ಭೋಜ್ಯಂ ನ ಭೋಕ್ತಾ
ಅಹಂ ಭೋಜನಂ ನೈವ ಭೋಜ್ಯಂ ನ ಭೋಕ್ತಾ
ahaṃ bhojanaṃ naiva bhojyaṃ na bhoktā
I am neither the act of eating, nor the food, nor the eater —

Verse 18 — ನ ಮೇ ಮೃತ್ಯುಶಂಕಾ ನ ಮೇ ಜಾತಿಭೇದಃ
ನ ಮೇ ಮೃತ್ಯುಶಂಕಾ ನ ಮೇ ಜಾತಿಭೇದಃ
na me mṛtyuśaṅkā na me jātibhedaḥ
I have no fear of death, and no distinction of birth or class;
Verse 19 — ಪಿತಾ ನೈವ ಮೇ ನೈವ ಮಾತಾ ನ ಜನ್ಮ ।
ಪಿತಾ ನೈವ ಮೇ ನೈವ ಮಾತಾ ನ ಜನ್ಮ ।
pitā naiva me naiva mātā na janma |
I have no father, no mother, and no birth;
Verse 20 — ನ ಬಂಧುರ್ನ ಮಿತ್ರಂ ಗುರುರ್ನೈವ ಶಿಷ್ಯಃ
ನ ಬಂಧುರ್ನ ಮಿತ್ರಂ ಗುರುರ್ನೈವ ಶಿಷ್ಯಃ
na bandhurna mitraṃ gururnaiva śiṣyaḥ
no kinsman or friend, no teacher and no disciple —
Verse 21 — ಚಿದಾನಂದರೂಪಃ ಶಿವೋಽಹಂ ಶಿವೋಽಹಂ
ಚಿದಾನಂದರೂಪಃ ಶಿವೋಽಹಂ ಶಿವೋಽಹಂ

Verse 22 — ಅಹಂ ನಿರ್ವಿಕಲ್ಪೋ ನಿರಾಕಾರರೂಪಃ

ahaṃ nirvikalpo nirākārarūpaḥ
I am without distinctions, formless by nature,
Verse 23 — ವಿಭುತ್ವಾಚ್ಚ ಸರ್ವತ್ರ ಸರ್ವೇಂದ್ರಿಯಾಣಾಂ
ವಿಭುತ್ವಾಚ್ಚ ಸರ್ವತ್ರ ಸರ್ವೇಂದ್ರಿಯಾಣಾಂ
vibhutvācca sarvatra sarvendriyāṇām
all-pervading, underlying every sense —
Verse 24 — ನ ಚಾಸಂಗತಂ ನೈವ ಮುಕ್ತಿರ್ನ ಮೇಯಃ
ನ ಚಾಸಂಗತಂ ನೈವ ಮುಕ್ತಿರ್ನ ಮೇಯಃ
na cāsaṅgataṃ naiva muktirna meyaḥ
unattached, neither bound nor liberated, and beyond all measure —
