Verse 2 — துரித பர்வதவ கம்டிஸுவ குலிஶதம்தே̀

durita parvatava khaṃḍisuva kuliśadaṃtè
like a thunderbolt that splits the mountain of sins to pieces.
Verse 3 — ஸுரரே̀ல்ல நடுகலு ஸிரிதேவி மோ̀ரே̀யிடே̀

surarèlla naḍugalu siridevi mòrèyiḍè
The gods all trembled at His fury, and Lakshmi herself cried out —
Verse 4 — வர கம்பதிம் பம்த ஸிரி நரஹரி நம்ம

vara kaṃbhadiṃ baṃda siri narahari namma
then from the blessed pillar came forth our glorious Narahari.

Hearing the child's (Prahlada's) cry, He came in haste,

tore out the wicked one's entrails and wore them as a garland around His neck.

hari viriṃcārādyaru karavètti mugiyalu
As Hari, Brahma (Virinchi) and the other gods raised their hands in prayer,
