Verse 1 — ஏ̀ம்தே̀ம்து இம்த சோத்ய கம்டத்தில்லவோ̀

ஏ̀ம்தே̀ம்து இம்த சோத்ய கம்டத்தில்லவோ̀

èṃdèṃdu iṃtha codya kaṃḍaddillavò

Never before have we witnessed such a wondrous spectacle!

Verse 2 — அம்கடி பீதியோ̀ளோ̀ம்து ஆகள கரு நும்கிது

அம்கடி பீதியோ̀ளோ̀ம்து ஆகள கரு நும்கிது

aṃgaḍi bīdiyòl̤òṃdu ākal̤a karu nuṃgitu

In the marketplace, a tiny calf swallowed a full-grown cow;

Verse 3 — உல்லம்கிஸுவ ஹுலிய கம்டு நரியு நும்கிது ௧
