Verse 1 — அல்லி நோடலு ராம இல்லி நோடலு ராம

அல்லி நோடலு ராம இல்லி நோடலு ராம

alli noḍalu rāma illi noḍalu rāma

Look there — Rama; look here — Rama —

Verse 2 — ஏ̀ல்லே̀ல்லி நோடிதர அல்லி ஶ்ரீராம

ஏ̀ல்லே̀ல்லி நோடிதர அல்லி ஶ்ரீராம

èllèlli noḍidara alli śrīrāma

wherever the eye falls, there stands Sri Rama.

Verse 3 — ராவணந மூலபல கம்டு கபிஸேநே̀

ராவணந மூலபல கம்டு கபிஸேநே̀

rāvaṇana mūlabala kaṃḍu kapisenè

Seeing Ravana's vast main army, the monkey host

Verse 4 — ஆவாகலே̀ பே̀தரி ஓடிதவு

āvāgalè bèdari oḍidavu

panicked at once and scattered in flight;

Verse 5 — ஈ வேளே̀ நரநாகி இரபாரதே̀ம்தே̀ணிஸி

ī vel̤è naranāgi irabāradèṃdèṇisi

thinking 'this is no time to remain a mere man,'

avanigè iva rāma ivanigè ava rāma

To that one, this one looked like Rama; to this one, that one looked like Rama —

avaniyòl̤ īpari rūpavuṃṭè

In a mere instant, all the wicked demons

Verse 10 — அவரவர் ஹோ̀டே̀தாடி ஹதராகி போதரு

avaravar hòḍèdāḍi hatarāgi podaru

mistook one another for the foe, fought among themselves, and perished.

hanumadādi sādhujanaru appikòṃḍu

Hanuman and the other devotees embraced one another
