hari smaraṇè māḍò niraṃtara

Remember Hari unceasingly;

Verse 2 — ಪರಗತಿಗೆ ಇದು ನಿರ್ಧಾರ

ಪರಗತಿಗೆ ಇದು ನಿರ್ಧಾರ

paragatigè idu nirdhāra

this alone is the sure means to the highest goal.

He who is a lion to the rutting elephant of sin,
