About the Upanishad form
The Upanishads are late Vedic Sanskrit texts of religious teaching and philosophical ideas, traditionally studied after the Samhitas, Brahmanas and Aranyakas. Some, like the Ganapati Atharvashirsha, take the form of a hymn glorifying a deity as the Supreme Brahman.
