Browse all of Harikesanallur Muthiah Bhagavathar's texts in Avabodhak →A twentieth-century Carnatic composer, Harikathā exponent and creator of some twenty rāgas, who composed over four hundred kritis, varṇas and tillānas in Sanskrit, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada under the signature "Harikeśa". He died in 1945 — younger than this project's usual "400 years dead" rule — but the verse text is in the public domain by statute (life + 60 years under Indian law, expired 2005; Berne life + 50, expired 1995), and is cross-checked here against the printed-book reading and three independent online witnesses.
